Oahu, Hawaii | Family Vacation

In October, my family took a trip to Honolulu to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday and he and my stepmom’s 10 year anniversary. I enjoyed shooting a few rolls of film throughout the week, with Armor being my most enthusiastic subject.

My dad found a really unique AirBnB right off of Kalanianaʻole Highway called the ‘Banyan Tree House’, with a big backyard that runs right up to the ocean. As we watched the sun set at the water’s edge that first night, a neighbor came over to say hi and shared with us that Dolly Parton used to own our place. If anything could have made this week any more magical, that might have been it.

We had a lot of beach days, visited Pearl Harbor, and caught all the sunsets. My favorite thing about Hawaii has to be the rainbows though. Huge full arches that cover the sky multiple times a day every day? Yes please.

Sharing a few of my favorite moments caught on film.
