Not being within the path of totality was NOT an option for the total eclipse that happened this week! I traveled up with some friends to camp the night before in Medicine Bow. We got there just in time to set up and experience some of the best lighting I feel like I’ve ever seen. Check out some of these landscapes for yourself and tell me you don’t agree! The next day we drove a little further to make sure we were in the path of totality in Wyoming for the big moment. I was pretty psyched for this – but even so, it totally surpassed my expectations. We watched as the shadows on the ground changed and got dimmer, while of course peeking through our solar eclipse glasses to see just where the sun was at. Finally, the earth went dark in the most beautiful way. I wish I could relive those 2.5 minutes over and over – I felt like I was in another planet. Finally, the sunlight returned just as slowly as it had fallen. Definitely worth the trip to check it out. Hope I can check another one of these out in my lifetime!
